Darkness defines the light

If it wasn’t this despair, would all your hopes reunite?

If it wasn’t the eclipse would you be able to fall in love in the moonlight?

If it wasn’t the wilderness of dark, would you know the art of light?

It takes two opposites to harmonize,

If it wasn’t the blight of bad would the value of good apprise?

It’s not all bad and neither all good, let’s idealise

But we do need to confide, so let’s just pick our sides.

Well there I am in a dilemma, are you too?

So I am listening to Rumi, he says “Out beyond the right and wrong, I will meet you there”

You don’t need to pick a side, just see the glare through your precious eyes,

because you are the hope, and you are the light.
